Call of Duty: here are the novelties of season 4 of Modern Warfare and Warzone
Did you successfully install the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare update and now have access to season 4 content from the popular Infinity Ward FPS? You will be rewarded, since several novelties are emerging!
Three new maps for the multiplayer component are notably available in Modern Warfare since the launch of the fourth season.
Zhokov Scrapyard, a small field of ruins originally published in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Barakett Promenade, inspired by the area of the same name in Warzone, for Ground War mode
Trench, a series of trenches, intended for Gunfight mode
From day one, we can also get our hands on two new weapons, the SMG Fennec and the assault rifle CR-56 AMAX, by obtaining the "battle pass". In doing so, players will also unlock an operator (highly anticipated), Captain Price.
Later in the season, two more characters, Gaz and Roze, will also appear in Modern Warfare, along with an additional multiplayer map, Cheshire Park, and three new game modes: All or Nothing, One in the Chamber and Team Defender.
Changes for Warzone too
Obviously, season 4 will also bring its share of novelties in the "battle royale" pendant of Modern Warfare, Warzone.
A new game mode, called Rumble, will among other things give rise to a huge battle between two teams of 50 soldiers.
Special events will also now disrupt Warzone games, which could lead in particular to the reappearance of all eliminated players, to huge temporary discounts on the purchase of in-game items or to the surprise arrival, above Verdansk, from a helicopter filled with provisions. Interesting!
In addition, additional modes will land a little later during the season in the free title.
Note that Season 4 of Modern Warfare and Warzone was launched on the night of Wednesday to Thursday, after a postponement of almost a week.
Hitman 3: the last part of the trilogy will be more "mature, serious and dark"
Announced for the beginning of 2021, Hitman 3 will close the eponymous trilogy, launched in an episodic format in 2016, with a more "mature, serious and somber" tone.
This is what the studio behind the franchise, IO Interactive, announced Thursday morning in a web presentation with community developer Clemens Koch and community manager Travis Barbour.
The pair argued that if Hitman, released in 2016, had a more "professional" tone, and if the second installment, released two years later, focused a little more on exploded and entertaining content, Hitman 3 will offer a version Agent 47's more mature.
The way of delivering the story in this new adventure should also be slightly different. So, instead of using only the cutscenes to advance the storyline, Hitman 3 will integrate elements of the story directly into the gameplay. We can therefore expect a direction that will look a bit more like Absolution on this side.
However, the game will continue to offer levels in the form of huge sandboxes offering different ways to deal with its targets, confirmed Koch and Barbour.
On this subject, it will be possible - on the model of what we offered in Hitman 2 - to integrate directly into the third component the missions of the two previous titles, as well as its own progression.
Hitman 3 will be released in January 2021 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC.
The Last of Us Part 2: a petition to have the story of the game redone (Is it that bad) ?
Launching The Last of Us Part II was anything but simple. Leaks circulated everywhere on the web before the release, revealing key events that angered several Internet users. For some players, the reasonable response was, of course, to harass the Naughty Dog teams, to disclose the game and the review-bomb on Metacritic as soon as it was released on June 19, 2020. * Please note before clicking on links, be warned : there are disclosers!
Obviously, this was not enough: Naughty Dog must now return to square one and redo the story, if we rely on a Change.org petition which has already accumulated more than 12,000 signatures. To avoid disclosing the game, we will omit some details in the quotes:
"The Last of Us Part 2 delivered excellent gameplay, good graphics and good mechanics, but the story is extremely bad", can be read in the description of the petition. "We need a remake of the game, because it disrespected all the fans who waited 7 years for the sequel." A small request, what.
"All we wanted was a sequel to Joel and Ellie," said a signatory. "Not a lesbian story".
"I find it funny that everyone hates this game and I want to see the developers suffer," said another visibly balanced signatory.
Neil Druckmann, the creator of the series, did not pay attention to the petition on Twitter. Thanks to PlayStation Lifestyle for the discovery.
